Rwanda has taken drastic measures on its borders with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to prevent the spread of Ebola.

After the discovery of two new cases in the province of South Kivu in the DRC several Congolese wanting to cross between Bukavu and Cyangugu were denied passage.

Since Tuesday 13 August all those who have maps or migration documents issued in North Kivu have been sent back by Rwandan migration. Since Friday with the emergence of two new cases of Ebola in South Kivu even nationals of Mwenga territory that live in Bukavu are blocked.
