Respectable Benin Politician Albert Tevodjre Died at the Age of 89

Albert Tevodjre, one of the most trusted experts of Benin political scientist and former US secretary-general Kofi Annan, died at the age of 89 in Benin Porto-Novo.

During his time as ambassador to Ivory Coast from 2003 to 2005, he was instrumental in getting then-President Laurent Gbagbo to the deployment of French and West African troops in the west of the country where rebels, militias, and mercenaries had flourished in the country’s civil war.
