Somalia and China Sign an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation

Somalia Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Ahmed Isse Awad held bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart , Wang Yi in Beijing on Sunday.The two ministers signed an agremeent on economic and technical cooperation.

The two diplomats also discussed historical relations between their two countries the need to work together two develop various frameworks of joint cooperation mainly in the economic and commercial aspects.

He praised the role of China in defending African issues on the international arena and tackling the problems of the collective concern of the peoples of the continent mainly in the areas relating tp peace , security and development.

On this part , Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed his country’s commitment in the historical relations with Somalia mainly in political and economic development.

According to Ambassador Awad ,Somalia is keen on benefiting from the Chinese experience in the fields of development of infrastructure, roads, energy, technology, tourism, agriculture, health, science,culture, oil and gas, which may contribute the consolidation and success of the “Somali National Development Plan”.

Center for Africa Studies (AFRAM) which located in Ankara, is an organization facilitating under the administration of African Affairs Council (AFAC). It makes various researches about Africa to enhance economic and cultural bounds between Africa and Turkey. AFRAM’s publishings has been shared with different institutions as they require to obtain.
