Police held protesters 100 meters from the southern gate of the palace where they chanted slogans such as: “The people want justice for the martyrs”. Thursday’s demonstrations came a few days after first government was sworn in for the transitional period after former President Omar al-Bashir was deposed by the military in April after popular protests against his 30-year rule.
