CJ Maraga Says Kenya Judgment Is Under Attack

Kenyan Justice Minister David Maraga on Monday accused the executive branch of the government with damaging the judicial branch.

“They want to control the judiciary and make a puppet,” he said at the press conference.”

Maraga canceled the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 after it was presented by Raila Odinga, a rival of evidence of illegality and irregularity.

Maraga said the judiciary’s operations were negatively affected by spending cuts and demanded $ 315 million for the current fiscal year, while only $ 145 million was assigned.
