Kenya, like many developing countries with rapidly growing cities, lags behind public spending on sanitation. More than 8 million people live in slums and 70% of them do not have access to the toilet. Several companies are working to produce sustainable and cost effective solutions to this problem.

The scale of the struggle is huge. However, Georgina and her neighbors come with those who benefit from clean, environmentally friendly toilets created by a Kenya-based company.

CENTER FOR AFRICAN STUDIES

Center for Africa Studies (AFRAM) which located in Ankara, is an organization facilitating under the administration of African Affairs Council (AFAC). It makes various researches about Africa to enhance economic and cultural bounds between Africa and Turkey. AFRAM’s publishings has been shared with different institutions as they require to obtain.
