MESSAGE OF THE PRESIDENT

This week, we told plenty of Gabon in Dwelling on Africa and Headline of the Week. With support received for rainforests, it will take an important action to reduce global warming and carbon emissions. With its broad-leaved trees and biological diversity, rainforests are very important for our ecology.

I recommend you to read carefully our articles about Gabon, which is an effective and important country despite its small size.

As TAFAC family, we saddened for victims of the floods in Sudan. But Turkey has extended a hand to the victimization and the many tents and relief supplies were delivered to Sudan. Two planes carrying 40 tons of food and supplies were sent to the region with the cooperation of AFAD and the Red Crescent in Turkey.

We aimed to offer you a short tour of Africa with one more important than the other. I hope we have achieved this goal.

Sincerely,
President of TAFAC

Abdulaziz Unal

Capital and largest city is Libreville. Spoken languages are French (official) and a variety of Bantu languages. Because of its oil and mineral reserves and a relatively small population, Gabon is one of Africa's wealthier nations, which is able to protect and preserve its pristine rain forests with a rich biodiversity. More than 10% of Gabon's area is protected...
